Welcome to Men of Hope

A very warm welcome for showing the courage to find a site dedicated to supporting men struggling with pornography addiction. Reading on and committing to this group will benefit everybody in their fight against sin.

This is my first attempt at anything of this nature and I apologise now if I inadvertently cause offence by the manner I deal with any sensitive issues / subjects. All I ask is that you send me comments with any ‘helpful’ suggestions where appropriate.

Men of Hope is all about ‘you’ helping ‘you’. I don’t expect anyone to have the same experiences or indeed the same crosses / temptations. What we should share in common is a God centered drive to change.

I make no excuses that Men of Hope is based on a Traditional Catholic stance/perspective. If this causes you any concern then I would ask that you look at other ‘like’ minded support sites that may better cater to your personal religious stance. I do not intend for this site to become an alternative vehicle to espouse opinions on the modern Catholic Church or any other religion.

This site is intended to help those people who are struggling against pornography or other sexually related ‘addictions’. Due to the potential for inappropriate or suggestive content being discussed a number of rules are in place that must be observed. Under NO circumstances will illegal or offensive material be tolerated.

I have chosen Saint Augustine as my ‘Guide’ and ‘Protector’ for this endeavour and will be using many of his prayers as tools for this work. I will also be relying heavily on the services of a Traditional Catholic Priest – Father Nicholas Mary. He should be your first point of contact if engaging in this service.

I have been battling such addictions since I was 10 years old and despite the support and help I have received I still need ‘peer to peer’ help. My intention is that through this site we will be able to maintain and expand such a network and keep ourselves and our families away from sin.

I look forward to meeting you all as you take those first ‘true’ steps towards attaining and maintaining the virtues of humility and purity – so necessary in our fight against the Devil.

This site will only succeed if all members take equal responsibility for using and improving the resources available.
