Day 23/24 – Grace & Faith

Many apologies that I did not submit a blog yesterday – other commitments took priority.  I have been kept busy looking after friends and family recently so find myself writing quite late in the evening.  Which reflects in my ‘positive’ ongoing struggles with purity.  Thankfully, not enough free time to even think about sin 🙂

My Conclusion:

One of the areas that I found most difficult in the Covenant Eyes approach is their reliance on scriptural references – throughout the 40 day challenges.  In both of these challenges many references are discussed that relate to Grace and particular Apostles teachings.

I agree entirely but almost find it ‘too much’.  This is perhaps where the US Ministry approaches can be less effective?  I honestly found the scriptural aspects dry and unhelpful.  In fact I skipped many sections finding it repetitive.  Perhaps it is the difference between ‘catholic’ and ‘other christian based’ ministries?

Worth reading but I didn’t feel it helped me in practical terms with my struggle…

Third Sunday of Advent tomorrow and the family is well on its way to completing the important task of Christmas present buying!  There are now arguments about who is cooking what and who is paying for what…
