Crypt Chat – Session 12

A big Fellowship welcome to all of its members for 2021. 

Though it would be truly wonderful to believe that nobody needs this support I think that the truth is very different.  After a turbulent 2020 we are unfortunately still facing the restrictions that will keep us housebound and alone.  We all know this is a tragic recipe for disaster when battling an internet pornography addiction!!

Let me first say thank you to our new member who has made a great start to the Self Help Course on Thursday.  It was a longer session than expected but definitely allowed for a healthy exchange of views.  I can only praise him for the honesty and enthusiasm shown.  Long may it continue 🙂

After some deliberation I have decided to adopt a different approach to the chat sessions with the aim of keeping things bespoke to the particular member.   Rather than continuing with group sessions I want to foucs on the actual work required to perservere through the Self Help Units.  This should allow me to reduce average sessions (post introduction) to about 60 minutes…ish!  Sessions will focus on the last Self Help Unit completed with structured advice and homework being provided.  There will be more time for ‘unstructured’ chat along with some reflections on the Men of Hope Precepts and Truths.

I will also be doing some extensive reviews on the web pages as a result of practical experience and feedback from the Fellowship.  So stand by for some functionality changes / issues.  If you have any feedback then please send me a comment.

We no longer have access to a mobile phone.  It was felt that the costs of running a monthly contract were not justified by the usage experienced.  This may be reviewed at a later time if the situation changes.   Please do not attempt to use the number and if it is still saved in your phones – delete it.
