Day 11/12 – Links to trafficking

Another busy day outside today after a wonderful Sunday talking to our local priest during a surprise visit to the house.  As we commence Advent and the start of a new liturgical year it seems appropriate to revisit challenges, fresh starts and purity novena’s.  Just because I am on day 12 that doesn’t mean you have missed the boat – START TODAY!!!
I would also like to encourage those present members of MOH.  Don’t worry because you seem to struggle getting past Week 1 of the Self Help Units.  This is a war…not a battle or skirmish.  The more attempts you make the stronger you become.  So just keep on starting again.  Nobody, let alone me, is ever going to judge how many times you have had to try again.  This is not a competition – so stop treating it like one. 🙂

My Conclusion:
Great interviews and resources to show the real link between pornography and sex trafficking.  It is extremely important to recognise that these ‘porn stars’ are very often victims.  As addicts, it is us who are fueling the demand for more and more movies/clips.  We must start to recognise that perhaps we share the responsibility for the abuse of these women.  Most do not do this out of choice…

So, twelve days gone and I feel better for having repeated the challenge.  This is definitely not a ‘once only’ activity in my fight against sexual addiction.
Yours in Jesus, Mary & Joseph

  1. Hi James,

I know I should stay in touch but it is so difficult having to admit that I looked at pornography again. I read all you lessons and agree with everything but I am not strong enough. What is the point of wasting your time when I know I just going to sin again? You spend all your time doing these crypt chats and at the time I feel so motivated. Then it ends and all I can think of is ‘going online’. I can’t change until God shows me how.

I’m really sorry I keep wasting your time. Keep up the good work

  2. Benedict – You must keep trying. It is not an issue to me how many times we go over the same things. I will point out that you have yet to try and contact me when you are ‘being’ tempted…

That is why I have the mobile with me. The first point of failure is not making contact with your support network when you need them. If you wait till afterwards then the half truths have already started forming in your mind?

I know it is hard and I know exactly how it feels when you can’t find the answers. I also know how good it feels to succumb – let’s not lie about the reality. That is how the devil keeps us hooked.

God is showing you the way – you just have to make the hard decision and start saying NO.

You are always a part of our Fellowship and prayers.
